Border Bash is a project our guild undertook in 2007: Each participating member makes a center block
ranging in size from 12 to 24 inches square. Each block is placed in a brown paper bag, with
coordinating fabrics, or with none. Three times the brown bags are exchanged, and a different member
adds a border from 2 to 8 inches wide. At the end of the project, the bag is returned to the member
who made the original center block, and that member keeps the delightful results to use as desired.
We each only saw the contents of the bags we worked on, and did not see our own block until the very
end! Great fun!
Treasure Blocks is a project our guild undertook in 2005-2006: Each month a different member
requests one block from every other participating member. That one member
describes the block to make and may supply some, all, or none of the fabric. At the next month's meeting
the member receives all the completed blocks and can create a quilt to keep.
